Blue Horizons Travel & Tours
Luxury Kayaking Safari |
| |
|
Blue Horizons Travel and Tours are pleased to introduce a new and unique product in the Philippines –
luxury kayaking tours of the El Nido and Bacuit Bay area, Palawan. The kayaking safaris are set in one of
the most beautiful parts of Asia, where sheer karst rock formations drop down into the deep blue
surrounding waters. Stunning white beaches and coves compete with mangroves, jungle and spectacular
reefs and corals for attention.
The best way to discover these unexplored islands is in small group kayaking tours where guests spend
their days kayaking, snorkelling, photographing and learning more about the environment. This is a fantastic
opportunity to visit the area and interact with the outstanding bio-diversity including rare and unusual marine
life, flora and flora and of course the local geology.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in El Nido airport where the
guide will meet you with transportation to the
town of El Nido. Transfer to the campsite on
Miniloc via banca. Late lunch followed by
orientation paddle to Simuzu Island, with the
opportunity to snorkel around the island’s
shallow reef flat. Overnight camping in this
stunning location.
Day 2: Miniloc Island offers so much to see
that the entire day will be spent exploring the
hidden lagoons and fantastic reefs around
the island. Our morning will be spent in Big
and Small Lagoons where we will kayak and
snorkel inside the picture-perfect bays. In
the afternoon we paddle to Tres Marias and
then continue to South Miniloc for an
afternoon snorkel. Return to camp for sunset.
Day 3: We begin the morning with a banca
cruise to the western-most islands in Bacuit
Bay, the Guntao Islands. There we will
snorkel in Guntao Channel, a large shallow
sand bed with huge coral bommies strewn
about. Each bommie contains hundreds of
species of coral and equal numbers of fish.
We head into Tapiutan Strait for lunch, but
stop first at an area called 'The Shrine'. Built
in 1985 by the Philippine National Church, it
serves to show appreciation to the wonder
and beauty of El Nido. After lunch we visit
Secret Beach, a beach besides a small
marine lake with fascinating marine life, and
then head to our final destination, South
Miniloc. Here we drift snorkel along shallow
reef flats and vertical drop-offs. Return to a
newly-pitched campsite at Seven
Commandos beach. There is unlimited
kayaking potential in front of Seven
Commandos beach
Day 4: In the morning, we transfer to
Aberrawan River via banca for a mangrove
kayak tour. After the kayaking our boat
transports us from the mouth of the river to
Pinisil Cave for snorkeling and more
paddling. Our lunch will be served on a
beach near Cudegnon Cave, with a visit to
the cave before kayaking to Vigan Island.
Our boat will meet us there and transport us
to Pangulasian for afternoon snorkel. Return
to camp for sunset. There is the opportunity
for night snorkeling or moonlight paddling at
Seven Commandos.
Day 5: We begin the day with a morning
snorkel at one of the best snorkeling sites in
El Nido, Seven Commandos. After breakfast,
we head via banca to Cadlao Island.
Beginning at the beaches on the northwest
side, we paddle south to Cadlao Lagoon,
also a fantastic snorkeling site. After lunch
we return to El Nido town for your onward
flight or optional extension of stay.
